This is the situation. I have DWGs loaded into my drawings and when I click on them the "full explode" and "partial Explode" buttons stay grayed out. I tried using the delete layer command to remove some of the layers in case there was over 10,000 elements, but that does not seem to work either. These are very simple DWGs so I doubt that there is over 10,000 elements in them anyway. Does anyone have an idea on what I should do next?

The plot thickens! It appears that I can Explode a dwg, but only if I import it and not link it. Is this the same for everyone else? I could explode a linked DWG in Revit 6.1... strange they have removed this function.

I can't remember being able to explode a linked DWG file in 6.1?
This would defeat the purpose of having them linked in the first place? That is once they are exploded they are no longer the same as the original dwg file?
i think if you plan on exploding the dwg then don't link it...
