I suppose later you can open up a Contruction Template File and under the File Menu do a Transfer Project Standards for whatever you needs from the Contrsuction template into the Architectural Template.

Hi Vector, I do both - modelling from concept to marketing and documentation. Nowsaday, I do less documentation as I will normally export out to dwg for the draughtperson to work on the documentation by AutoCAD. Here in Malaysia we have a large pool of draughtperson at our disposal. Already they are cursing that soon they will be out of work due to Revit! Also here Revit is sold as a suite bundle with AutoCAD. I supposed there is still lack of confidence to do full documentation by Revit for certain firm. So AutoCAD is the insurance.

There are obviously still little things that need work with Revit, but we use it from Pre-Design through Construction Admin for everything. We just use our single template that has everything from the schemmatic room tags to supplemental drawing titleblocks. People will argue that Revit isn't good at Construction Documents, but I think it's just a matter of experience. I have a guy that was constantly reminding me that he could do whatever he was working on faster in AutoCAD...eventually I said, "If you don't think that you'll get faster at Revit, that says more about you than it does the program." Many people in my firm (including myself) refuse to do Construction Document drafting in anything but Revit now. Just hang in there.

yes bauhaus1919 very well said and veryhelpful to me thanks.. yes Kim interesting you say large pool of draughtpersons and cursing what will soon be revit and lack of confidence etc etcbecause that is EXACTLY like it is here in california.. lol it's good to do modeling because i guess you have to get the model accurate before it will generate CDs anyway.and you can plan on being in high demandwherever you go Kim..
