Hello all.  I am trying to create a new window family for a project I am working on.  Attached is a .jpg of the design of the window I am striving for.  Thus far, I have created the window itself, with mullions, parametric, etc.  What I am hoping to do is put a wall inside the window family that will be able to be scheduled/keynoted in the drawings.  The reason for doing this is a mostly a construction one (which might be the cause of the difficulty).  I have a masonry wall that will be built to the size of the opening for the window.  A stud wall will then be built inside this opening.  If I have the window cut around the stud wall, I would have to then edit each wall that window occurs in to create my own opening and infill it by hand.

Is there any way to do what I am trying to do?  Thanks for any help!

Think about doing this as a group of elements rather than a single family.  You could use:

  1. An opening to cut your base wall
  2. Your infill stud wall
  3. Your window in the stud wall
