When I render my model the storefont curtain walls, windows, and glass doors are all blacked out and you can't see through them.  Did I mess something up with the Glass default some how? Or what happened and how can I fix this?

Check your scene settings.  Make sure it is daytime and the sun is on and the glazing is set to allow light to pass through.
