Hello. Does anyone know why you aren't allowed to Join Geometry on steel sections (i.e. Wide Flange Beams) and in-place families, to cut only parts of theese, when this can be done without any trouble on for instance concrete beams? With Join Geometry active I simply cannot click on the steel profiles. All the beam families are sweeps, and I've tried cutting with in-place Generic Models, Masses and Structural Framing. Pictures tell more than a thousand words, they say. The one I've attached tells hardly more than 10, but perhaps it'll help clear some things out.
