Somebody please help. I have created a total of 3 slabs to show a depression and a thickening around it. If the main slab and the thickening are flush on the top level and I "join geometry" with all 3 then I can't figure out why the bottom edge(outline) of the thickening doesn't show as hidden line. It seems pretty simple but I can't figure it out.I have tried to even use the linework tool, to change them to hidden but when the geometries are joined I can't even select the edge/lines. Here's an example, please help! ThanksJB

If you extend the depth of the section past your change in depth of the slabs, then it will show as a hidden line. Is this what you are talking about? See attached file:

Stanmpd- Sorry let me clarify myself. I'm looking to make the outline of the thickening look hidden in PLAN view. Thanks JB

You can have it display Hidden Line if you use the linework tool and select each line twice (edge of slab 325, edge of slab 225) for each edge where the slabs are joined. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I feel like an idiot!! I knew it was something simple. Still, I'm a little suprised Revit doesn't show it as hidden automatically. Thanks again! JB

Revit has a way of doing that. It takes two or three hours to find which 2 or 3 mouse clicks you needed to use to get it to work the way you want it to. The program is much smarter than I am. Glad I could help.

There was a post regarding the visibility of hidden lines and it had to do with setting the line style for <Beyond> as hidden and setting your view range properly.
