Hi, I'm new to revit and I'd like to get some insight about wall components from you guys, before setting up my wall styles and their dimensioning.

First of all, I ran into this situation when replacing the out-of-the-box generic 8" wall with an 8" masonry wall that I created it, and contains 4 layers/components.The attached image shows how the wall dimensions change as I replace their wall styles. How do you avoid this situation?. The walls alignment have not changed, so I suppose the problem is their dimensions...they are measured to the exterior finish (stucco) and I do not want that. Do I have to chage all the walls in this project manually?

On the other hand, If I want to create a view for the roof trusses, how can I turn all the components off, and just leave the Core on, in other words, I do not want any wall finishes/components shown?

Thanks in advance
