One of our staff new to revit has created a door as a project (rvt) file and we want to turn it into a family. Unfortunately Revit does not allow us to copy from a project into a family!
Any ideas?

Question, how do you create a door as a project file? Do you mean they did it as an in-place family within a project?
If this is the case you can edit the family in the project select all elements and copy and paste into a door family then re-associate reference planes etc etc.
HTH.

Think I'll check exactly how he has created it.
