Does anyone know a way to create dimensions that are not to scale? For instance, I am in a drafting view and I want my dimension to read "Varies - See Plan". I've been told this cannot be done but that is ridiculous. Also...is there a way to create a leader WITHOUT text attached to it?? We were told that you need to actually draw an arrowhead to do this. Once again...ridiculous! Help!

1. You can add a suffix or a prefix to any dimension string, for instance for a 1200 dimension i might add a suffix "varies" thus the dimension would then read 1200 varies... Which i see as acceptable as at least one of the dimension will be this value... This is all to do with accuracy that revit provides and discourages fudging.... which is a problem in a lot of other programs. 2. This is true, in a way. You need to create a symbol (i've added instance parameters for length of arrow and size of arrow head). This is only a 2 minute job that you can then re-use in every project you ever create... HTH.
