While creating a view title, titleblock, and other instances, I am trying to align text families to each other. The align command wants a line or a point and will not select text. How can you precisely align various text elements (left align, bottom align, etc...)?

Hi, when you are editing a text, you are allowed to set the alignment of the text within the text box, so you can set properly the alignment horizontally and vertically inside the text box. If you try to move the text dragging the arrowed cross, you will see the automatically snap on orthogonal axis, but you're not allowed to choose planes or point to snap. The trick would be to make a group with the text box: by default appeares a local coordinate system in the middle of text box, but you can move the origin all around by dragging it when ever you want; you can use this extra temporary point to place the text box in the right position, and after that you can explode the group. See you -paolo
