REVIT currently draws lines as if they were created using a round nibed pen.  Most of the time, this is not a problem because, for typical drawings, we don't use pens over a #2.  However, when you use a larger pen on title blocks or visual "boxes", you get this "crayon" end that really looks bad at both line ends and corners.

This morning, I ran into a bigger problem.  When you use a dashed line or dash dot with a large pen, the space between the segments gets filled by the radius of the pen.  In other words - the distance between the line segments is fixed and measured from the center of the pen - not the clear distance between the segments.

Our heavy lines look fine in a small scaled view  but when drawn 1 to 1 they become a continuous blob line.  Not good!

AutoCAD lines are square ended and REVIT's lines should be square too.  (BTW, the old split nibed pens were basically square - the round ended line look came about with the technical pens.  )
