Using 9.1. Is it possible to turn off or hide a detail symbol in a view? For instance, in my exterior elevations, I want my building sections to be visible, but not every detail. I know I can just hide it temporarily, but can you make a permament thing? Thanks

If its all of a type like all sections or all detail call outs you can shut them off in visibility graphics. If you only want one or two right click on them and hit "Hide Annotation in View"
