Has anyone had a project that was to large for a 30x42 sheet? How did you handle the inability to put the plans on more than one sheet? Callouts? If so what view did you draw on the main plan or in each callout? Was there any problems along the way we shoud watch out for?
Revit needs to come up with a way to put plans, if split, on more than one sheet!

What I did was copy the level with duplicate with detail twice, then used crop region to make the parts of the plan show what I wanted, then you can put them on separate sheets. That way I still had my full plan for my own reference, and I don't have to work off the cut plans. I don't know if that helps you any. -Vanessa

Yes we thought of that but how do you work on each plan then? Do you only work in the croped plan then and not the full plan? We thought this might cause some problems. Have you seen this?

Well, what I did is work off of the full plan when it is something that is going to affect the building itself, and then for notations and callouts, if I want them to be visible on the sheets I work on them in the view that is placed on the sheet. We have only had one project so far that didn't fit properly one the page, and this has seemed to work so far. There may be issues that come up later.

Another option would be to group the detail elements of the view, then duplicate the view or create a callout to the extents you want the view. Then copy and paste the group into the appropriate views.
Therefore any changes you need to make to detail items will automatically be updated on all sheets.
