Hi, im currently trying to create/insert 'C' purlins into a drawing. I downloaded one from revit city but its more a detail component. Is there a way i can use the profile of the downloaded one to actually make it into a 3D beam rather then just a detail component? attached is a pdf of a standard autocad drawing the company i work for does, as you can see there are 'z' girts, this is easy in auto cad as your only drawing a 2d view, when it comes to revit i need to create this as a 3d object so can be shown in 3d views of the whole shed etc. i havn't been using revit for long so there maybe a simple way that i have just over looked... cheers.
