I was wondering if there was a (relatively) simple way to create a space frame structure.
A specific point of concern is defining the connections between joints. I suppose the joints would actually be drawn in a detail view, however, some sort of connection place holder would be nice to have appearing in the standard views.
Any suggestions that could be offered would be greatly appreciated.

Ive been trying to do the same thing, I ended up using braces/beams from the structural tab, I just loaded a steel rod modified its thickness and started connecting them with 3d snapping turned on. for the connection i jus added a sphere to a brace/beam family i created Hopefully this helps, if you find a better way please let me know
