I am trying to create a tag to show the beam reactions, and I am running into some trouble. I have created a generic tag, but it won't seem to actually tag anything. Does anyone know how to make a generic tag tag a beam? I am also trying to get a generic tag that I made tag a detail component, but since it is not a detail item tag, it is not working. Can you load a generic tag as a detail item tag, and if not, how do you make a detail item tag?  Thank you in advance!

I created a new Structural Frming Tag, starting with the generic tag template. I made some shared parameters that I loaded into my project and the tag family, so I can put the reactions in the beam properties. I attached the tag family, but I dont know if it will work right for you because of the custom shared parameters.

Thank you for your response. I have made a similar tag using the multi category tag. How did you get the generic tag to know that it was a structural framing tag?

In the tag family, go to Settings|Family Category and Parameters. Then scroll down and select Structural Framing Tags.
