Hello all, My firm is new to using revit and I have what I hope is a basic question.  The architect is based in another city working with Revit Architecture 2008, My firm is using Revit MEP 2008.  They have posted a copy of their Central file to an FTP site for us to use. The question is: How do I take that file save it to our local server for us to use?  Then when the architect updates his file, how do I update our file to show his changes?

Thanks,

Les

The way I would do it is just copy the Arch file to the same area where you have your MEP file stored making sure it has a different file name.  Then load it into your MEP project.  Every time then you get an update from the Arch's you can just move the new file and overwrite the old file.  Then back in revit just reload the link and you will get the update.  You should just be able to make a copy of the FTP file onto your server and just update that.

 HTH
