I have seen this tip in the past and now that I need it I can't find it. I got the roof created and changed it to sloped glazing. I selected the grip spacing in the vertical direction to be 16" and it looks pretty good. I have not been able to find how to change the glazing mullions and the glazing to metal. Also, the glazing is floating over the top of the mullions. How do I raise them so they are on top? Thanks in advance for your help.

Quote: Arnel Aguel.
1) Create a roof with slope as normal
2) Change the family type to slope glazing
3) Create grid lines that correspond to the center to center spacing of you roof seam
4) Create mullions at the seam (grid line) location. You can edit the size of the mullion (seam) as per you desired size.
5) Change the panel material from glcurseto default roof. Make sure you select the system panel and not the whole glazing...
6) Voila you have a standing seam metal roof.

Happy Holidays
Mr Spot, I have followed one by one the steps in making the standing seam metal roof from step 1 to step 4, I have not problems, When it comes step 5 I am having such a hard time, can you exlain to me where I can find the command box to change from glass to metal?
I know I am really lost this time, I can not find the command that allows me to change from glazing panels to default roof.
I picked the roof, then clicked, went to element properties and clicked on edit/new bottom and modified from glazed to solid, however , I do not get the 6" two cut plumb fascia as the regular roof.
I will appreciate your help

That's correct.
You are just changing the material (this is a workaround after all and was never the intent of the factory), plumb cut doesn't really work correctly in this way, it only changes the offset from the edge. If you wanted to still have the appropriate edge you would need to add a small section of roof around the edges to get the appropriate profile.

We have created what revit identifies as a "ruled curtain system." It's the sloped glazing that looks like metal roofing and can't seem to figure out how to edit its profile. We'd like to extend the roof by 2' . Our roof is a simpe shed roof but it slopes in two directions... could this be the problem? How do you edit the curtain wall roof?
