HiCreated a profile. Placed dimensions and created parameters.Created a family. Placed a sweep. Created a catalog. Attached the profile. Profile reads catalog but when I try to adjust parameters nothing happens. I know it is possible because if I open C-Channel.rfa I can adjust parameters. Spent all weekend trying to get it to work. Any help will be appreciated.bob v

When you change the parameters in the catalog types in the family itself and save it, then load it, are your changes still there, or do you get a "cannot create type" error? You may be missing a single parametered dimension somewhere in your family.

What Revit version are you using? Rather than attatching a text catalog (even though they are so much faster), try making your catalog by using the generic interface of Family Types in the Family window. You should be able to make a profile with the constraints you want in the family types dialog box. then you should be able to load that constrained profile into the family where you can continue to incorporate it into a more complex family. I'm honestly not sure why your text catalog is not working, but I know that you should be able to do it using the stock interface. Sorry that I cannot be of more help.

Or, have you tried making that profile inside your main family instead of nesting it? Obviously nesting the profile in the family is preferrable so that you can use it in more than one family, but if you need it done quickly, it might be worth adding the parameters inside your main family.
