Hello - my firm just got Revit and I am the one to figure it all out - are there any training classes to attend?

Our company took classes that were set up through the company they purchased Revit from. The best way I have learned the program is to just drive into a project and learn as I went. I have done two projects so far and the rest of the office is modeling a completed project for the practice.

I took a class and can honestly say that I learned more from the tutorials included in the subscription. Join AUGI and have a look at some of their tutorials, go through the tutorials here, and as JHanby said, dive in! I have found that the tutorials, the help menu, and this forum are some of the best lessons you can get to learn Revit. For me, the learning curve was pretty steep. And I think you'll find that there are some things you do all the time that you'll become a pro at rather quickly, others that you only use occasionally, you'll probably have to brush up on each new time you use it.

I ordered the latest book this week, and I have been working with a 2006 book. I am looking forward to a training class in August hosted by the software sellers. I am interested in how to build a title block, and I have a pretty good idea of how the BIM idea works. My company does a lot of remodels, so i find REVIT takes too long to build up a structure to "knock it down". However, we do have 3 new 'ground up" projects, and I want to be up to speed in REVIT for those!
