Hi i need some help creating a tapered rafter with parametric properties that allows me to adjust the extrusion void of the existing beam and its overall length.. I have tried on numerous attempts to lock the extrusion in place and set up new reference lines etc, but everyting just got too messy.. I know it takes a while to get used to creating such objects.. But if someone could help me maybe in a step by step process. That would be great.. Attatched is the Rafter with it's void already set...

i had the same issue so attempted the attached family. was a few weeks ago, and it worked ok from memory. i think i put an angle parameter, type, in it. have a look, maybe what i did within it, will help with your family.
