I am trying to sort / calculate volume of total concrete (for a residence here in the virgin islands, where it happens to be quite expensive).  I have no problems scheduling walls, beams, typical foundations, slabs etc.  BUT ??? I can't get concrete host sweeps to schedule.  Neither my conc gutter (wall sweep) nor my slab edge (also host sweep) will schedule.  They both have an assigned material (just for graphics?) and an assembly code.  Is this a known problem or am I doing something wrong?

In the last webcast for REVIT Architecture, they indicated that hosted sweeps could be scheduled including lengths.  We are not yet on REVIT Archicture so I can't verify this..... perhaps someone else can.

Any luck on this? I can't get sweeps to show up on a wall material takeoff.

Go to View-->New-->Schedule/Quantities and select Wall Sweeps as the category. This will create a schedule of all wall sweeps in the projects. There is no Wall sweeps category under material takeoff though. You can add the Material and Legth Fields to the Schedule. You can also do the same for Gutters, Slab Edges, and Fascias

Wow, didn't even see a wall sweeps schedule. I'll have to look around through that.

Also, I've assigned a material and all that to a wall base but I can't get the base to show up on the wall material takeoff. Any help with that?

If the base is integrated into the wall, then I am not sure you can schedule it. I tried to create material takeoff and couldn't get it to show. I use a hosted sweep for my Base Boards. It is a little tedious to place all of them but I can control and schedule them seperatly.

Just figured this out. If you need a Material Legend to include your sweep material, just make an in place family and assign it your sweep maerial. This way you can add your sweeps to your material legend. I created an admin workset, create a inplace family of a wall, assigned it a material of my sweep--and then BOBS YOUR UNCLE-- THERE IS WAS.
