I have a 2 story building using revit architecture 2008. I can duplicate all other views with no problems. But, when I try to duplicate level 1 an error message appears and says, "Work Planes cannot be copied" It only allows me to cancel. I am not sure what I should do. I would like to duplicate the view to have mulitple plans showing, deminsion and room names.

 I have tryed duplicate and duplicate with details, both show the same error message.

Any help is appreciated.

I have solved my own problem.  After thinking way too hard about it I discovered that I had turned of the visibility of the work plane in Level 1 view.  To fix the problem I pressed the reveal hidden elements button at the bottom.  I then highlighted everything then using the filter selected just the work plane grid.  I then right clicked and unhide element.  This allowed me to duplicate the view.

I have a similar problem now in RAC 2011,

the only difference is that i m not getting an error message,

i just try to duplicate or convert view to indepentant,,, revit thinks for a few seconds, , and nothing happens.

I dont realy understand how you solved your problem there,

any advise for this in rac 2011 ?
