I keep getting an error message upon trying to load an edited window family which states, "instance of *window* not cutting anything" it then proceeds to give me the option of deleting the window i'm trying to insert into the wall or letting me cancel the action. Point is, i can't insert the window, or figure out how to avoid the error. I have tried using voids instead of an opening cut in the window family but i get the same error. The same window was working just fine, until i began to edit the muntins that i had previously added to it, and delete/rearrange the associated reference planes. I suspect the issue is tied to this but i have yet to figure out the cause or how to correct/workaround it. Any help would be useful, thanks.

I see that nobody answered this for you so I'll give it a shot. When you readjusted your window, you probably changed where the opening cut is for the window and that is above or below your wall. REVIT can't cut the opening bevcause there is no wall there. Recheck your insertion elevation in your model. A goo test would be to darw a wall a couple of hundred feet tall (100' up / 100' down) and put it in that, then you'll probably see it.
