I am having issues with the underlay feature. It worked on my first project but not on my next one. I am trying to underlay the (house) roof peak/valley lines on the floor plan which worked previously. After setting the underlay on the floor plan to "roof plan" and getting no success. I tried setting my view range on the roof plan to take in the floor plan even,.... to no avail. I checked to make sure the underlay wasn't under my floor coverings which it wasn't. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thx

Just making sure, the roof plan IS showing everything you want to be able to see when you underlay it, correct? This sounds like a view range problem, but I couldn't be sure. I've had similar problems but have never needed to work around it. Have you tried underlaying with another view? If all else fails, you can try creating another roof plan view and seeing if it was just that one view (Yes, Revit can be finicky like that sometimes). What version are you using?

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! |

My apologies to all. I got this corrected. I did not realise I needed to select the bottom side of the view range (above the current one) to make the underlay work. I guess I just lucked it on my first project and not on my second. Thanks for the help.
