Alright Smarties I need some help. I am trying to organize the Sheets section of my browser. We have a project that has multiple structures and we would like to have a set of sheets for each building. IE the gymnasium, the elementary school, the administration building, etc. I found browser organization, the sheet tab, and the folders and filters tabs, but I cannot ADD parameters to the System Family: Sheet Files. So I cannot add a sub-category called Gymnasium which has all sheets related to the gym. Does this make sense? Is this possible? Is there a work around? Any input woudl be great. Thanks, James

I was able to achieve a similar situation by creating a shared parameter called Sheet Category. I then loaded it into Settings-->Project Parameters. I applied this parameter to the Sheet Views category. It then showed up in the properties of the sheet views. I was able to create a browser organization by filtering by this parameter. I also needed this to make my sheets appear in a specific order in the sheet index. HTH

Thanks James! I understand what you said, for the most part. I was able to create the shared parameter, but how did you assign it to the Sheet Views category? I can't find this as an option, Sheet Views doesn't exist. I'm on REVIT Arch 2008. If you have any other input that would really help. Thanks a lot! James

Go to Settings-->Project Parameters, click "Add". In the next dialog box there will be some categories on the right-hand side of the box. Check mark the one that says "Drawing Sheets". I have attached an image depicting what I am talking about.
