Hello All /or anyone, I've just started on Revit a couple of weeks ago, but have a background in ArchiCAD spanning 15 years. Most of that has been here in Brisbane for various firms, but I had a stint in Berlin for a year and a half. Quite differnet kind of work to that here in Australia. I'm wondering if anyone else has made the move from ArchiCAD to Revit, or has some experience in both? It would be very interesting to hear others:- insights into how to approach Revit; how to free your mind from the influences of your previous working methods; what correlations there are - especially in differing terminology of common concepts; what features and working methods are better in Revit than in ArchiCAD; what is there in ArchiCAD that's lacking in Revit and how do you work around it? The list could be exhaustive - could be a long discussion.......... Maybe, there are already some discussions on this somewhere. Ive had a little look - and for anyone else interested the following makes some informative comparisons http://www.parch.com/images/pdfs/revit_v_archicad.pdf . It is however out of date now, and both programmes have come a fair ways since then.
