Ive been using revit 9 for a couple of months now and am starting to really get the hang of it, however when i go to render the project/model it always comes out very bland and doesn't seem to show any of the materials patterns. i tried changing the raytrace settings but only got a grey colour covering the model. could you please tell me where im going wrong. Thanks David

First - Have you set your materials? - under Settings, Materials Second - Are these materials linked to your objects? - Each of your different families should have their materials linked to 2d/3d colors/hatches/texture maps. Third - Does REVIT know where to find your material library? - under Settings menu, Options, Rendering, then Accurender Resource location
