Is there a way to quickly set the wall type and properties to match a wall already existing prior to drawing it, or are you limited to drawing any old wall and then matching it, then editing its properties (ie base constraint, top offset, etc.)? In the upper left hand corner, there is a pull down menu which shows the default setting for whatever tool you are about to use. Once you pick the wall tool, use this pull down menu to select the type of wall you wish to draw. To the right of that, you may then select the hieght; more right is the location line; then the shape. You ca set all of these to get the wall right, the first time you draw it.

Im familiar w/ all that.....What im looking for is a quick select/inherit properties function...similar to the eyedropper tool, that will set the properties of an object based on an in-place object.

In 7.0 the match properties command will now also carry instance parameter changes to a wall from the source. The create similar command will allow you to place a wall based on the wall you pick prior to starting the command. Check out the What's new in this Release part of the help files.
