I created some materials for a standing seam metal roof. i want to know if there is a way to trrim the pieces off at the edges of the roof where the pieces overlap. anyone have any thoughts on this?

Edit each roof plane to follow the common hip rafter. If you have dissimilar slopes, go to roof plan and join the two roofs. Now that you can see the hip ridge, add a reference line at the hip by picking the hip ridge. Now when you edit the roofs, you can see the exact intersection of the two planes. Do this for both roofs.
