I am having some visibility issues with my p-traps. It shows up ok in the 3d view and in fine detail in plan view. But, when I change the detail level in plan view it shows up as a long line. I have tried opening the family and didn't see any lines that could be affected by visibility. if anyone has any ideas or has dealt with this issue, please let me know.

I have found a couple of different solutions. 1- In the element properties dialog under Graphics I un-checked the "use annotation scale" box. This causes the line to go away. But, it causes the trap to show up double line (like it would in fine detail). 2- You can also right-click and hide the element in the view. This caused a little gap to be between the pipe and the fixture. But for permit/construction drawings this will probably be alright. I still haven't been able to figure out what causes this line to show up. But, both of these will be decent alternatives for me. If anyone has any other ideas I would appreciate seeing them. Thanks.

I'm sorry I don't have an answer for your p-trap problem but I was hoping you could help me out with mine. Our office has recently started working with REVIT MEP and I was one of the lucky few picked to learn it. I am trying to build a family for p-traps pfor sinks and lavatories and am not sure if I'm setting it up correctly. In the Family Category and Parameters dialog box I have entered the following: Family Category - Pipe Fitting Behavior - Bend Part Type - Elbow Now as you know, this fitting is not an elbow nor does it bend as an elbob wuld from 45 to 90 degrees but those were the only options close enough to what I'm making that I could enter for this particular fitting. Is what I have entered correct or should I change something? Any help or advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
