When I use the keyed note by element or material, all I get is a question mark. Any ideas?

the keynote refers to an external tab delineated keynote text file of which you create in notepad.  First you must define this and then load it into the project.  Then when you place a keynote tag you will be prompt to select the appropriate element that applies from your keynote file.

There are built in keynote files to use as a template...

How do you load new modified text file, I have the same problem. Well not the same, I know how to set up the materials with each spec section. So that when I use that template in a new project I can just use the material keynote and when I hover over the material it automaticlly notes what it is without me having to type everything over and over again. The issue I am having is that the keynote comes out as in the keynote text file, in other words lower case. We have all our notes in upper case lettering. Am I doing this right or is there an eisier way to do what I am trying to do? I was thinking about changing all the text in the text file to upper case and then load it into our new standards template so that when I start a new project and I use the material keynote, the notes will now be in upper case letters?

I think you are confusing material tags with material assigned keynotes.  These are two different tools.  Material notes are set in the materials editor and the initial ones were all lower case.  Keynotes are read from the projects associated keynote file.  You can set the material to read the correct keynote in the material editor.

Oh ok, yea. Well what we are trying to do is have the material notes pop up just like the material keynotes. The ones that give you the option to use either the spec section or the text note. If only I could get the text to show up in capital letters that would work just fine.
