I have created a new view title for my title sheets but can not change the default view title Revit uses.
I am able to change other defautlt tags in Revit but can not change the default view titles.
Any ideas?

View titles can be modified in the same way any other revit family is created.
Go to--> New Family--> Annotation--> View Title and start creating it to your own specific requirements.
You can also open one of the existing view title families and edit one of those to your needs.

Thanks Mr Spot, I have created my view title but had trouble getting Revit to use it for all new projects.
Revit uses a view title called 'M_View Title.rfa' and mine uses a different name. I know I can change it once I have started a project but I shouldn't have to change it every time. The only way I can get around this is by calling my new view title 'M_View Title.rfa'.

If you don't plan on ever using it, open the template file and delete the M_View Title out, revit will then use the other as default...

Tried that and now I don't get a view title at all! Looks like I have to call it the same name as the Revit standard.

In the template file create a sheet, drag a new view on to the sheet then change the view title to be the desired title... Then delete the sheet, and save the template file.. This should in effect make your view title the default.

Is it possible to change the title style now that the project is already started? We have many sheets set up and we want to replace it with something closer to our office standard.

Mr. Spot I didn't find your method to work. Maybe I missed a step. For a template or already started project you can do the following One solution is to pick the default one. Edit/new, duplicate. Leave the duplicate what it is called for now. Pick the original and rename it what you want your default to be called. Change its view title family to the right one. Then remove the 2 from the end of the duplicate you madeSet all the old views using detail one you changed to plan by selecting all instances and changing the typeDo the same for all the old desired type to get them to be the new plan ones. Then purge unused to get rid of the old desired type.

Wow... This may be water under the bridge, but still: I think Moose needs to ask himself a very important question - does he know where he is? (?????)
