I am looking at making a hip roof that has a HVAC well cut out in the middle. I cannot find a how to on this. I was thinking about just making a typical hip roof and then placing a shaft cut for the opening and then adding a floor and walls. This seems like a work around. Is there an easyer way?

Create your hip roof then use the opening command under modeling. Afterwards, you just align walls to the face of the opening and edit your floor with a simple box that also aligns to the opening
