I'm putting together my presentation for my Thesis and need help ASAP. I am trying to render my site plan and I have created a 3D View oriented to the top and set my crop and section boxes. I set my image size/DPI to 150 (I've also tried 75 and 300) and try to raytrace the image, but nothing happens. I have done this same process with orienting the view to the North/South/etc for elevations and it works fine, but the top view is not rendering. Does anyone know how to fix this, I need to render my site plan for the plants to show up accurately. (I've left it on overnight hoping maybe it just takes a long time but in the morning still nothing happens, no status bar with % done). Usually when you hit raytrace it does a preliminary run where it renders it in low detail then it goes back over slowly at finer detail, but when I try to raytrace this 3D view it doesn't even render it in low detail it just stays it was in "shaded with edges" view. Please help!

First of all what version of revit are you using? how many pixels is the actual view? How much RAM do you have on your computer? I have had this happen to me previously back in revit 6 or 7... Do you have the option of attempting to do this on another PC?

Sorry, it's Revit 9.1. I'm using a DELL computer I believe 1GB of Ram it's less than a year old. And the pixels for 150 DPI is 7001 pixels by 8123 pixels. I believe the other computers I have access to are also DELLS probably 1GB.
