It's my first time making lighting fixture with family. When finished, I rendered it and found that none of the element is fluorescing like a lamp but there's a ray of light on the wall around the lighting fixture. Should I apply certain material to make it be the source of light? Do I make mistake? How to make a fluorescence object? Look at the attachment. I want the blue object to be the source of light. Thx

In case you haven't solved this problem yet, you need to move your light sorce down so its inside of the lamp. judging from the jpg you posted it looks as though the light soure is about 24" above the top of the lamp. You adjust this in the family from any elevation view, its a ref plane named 'light source elevation' just pick and move it to the desired height.
