Is it possible to manually move the stair cut line without adjusting the view range?

Thanks

if you are trying to keep the view range as a whole where it is, try out the "plan region" on your stairs. this will keep your view range for the rest where it is and you can select a different view range just for the stairs which will adjust your cut line.

thanks

i've tried that and it works to an extent but is it possible to set the plan region up so that it views half the stair going up from the level but also half the stair that is coming into that level?

 any help would be appreciated?

thanks

If you mean with no dashed lines, not quite, but there are a few workarounds. You could just set your view range up all the way to show the whole set of stairs and import the break line or draw one in. Another would be to use linework, but I'm not sure if that works with the stairs. I don't have Revit open in front of me.

If I'm off base, if you could post a screen shot and/or maybe copy and paste the parts into a blank revit file and post it, I'll see what I can do for you.
