here is my problem... revolved and extruded objects are casting extra shadows...! its hard to explain so i attached jpg... look at the chimneys... there's extra shadow starting from the end of the shadow...+ look at the lighting rods... they cast shadows @ 45 deg. down but in fact they should not be there... did anyone have this problem before...? if yes, how did you go about it...?

That is bizarre. What version and build of Revit are you using? There are some issues with the shadows when the viewing plane is also in shadow, but you shouldn't be having issues in elevation. Send the file to support.
