2 questions: i have a curtain wall that i want to modify in the "new construction" phase. why can't i demo individual panels and/or add new mullions/grids as "new construction" phase-specific elements? i even tried to have the panels set as walls, and no dice. how do i get a door that's created in the new construction phase show up as a demolished opening in the demo phase? thanks in advance.

hey, did you ever figure out the answer to this? I'm wondering the same thing right now, an existing wall has opaque panels and i want to replace them with transparent panels in the new construction phase. thanks in advance!

hey, From what i've found out, you can't demo or "phase" curtain wall panels, grids, or mullions individually. You can only phase the whole wall itself. In other words, the 'parent' WALL's phase determines the phase of the panels, grid lines, or mullions. Unfortunately the trick is to use the "split" tool to separate the wall into pieces in the existing phase. Then, change the piece of wall you intend to "demo" to the appropriate phase... The other thing i've noticed is that when you insert a NEW door or window, the demolished area of the EXISTING wall doesn't always show up as the appropriate phase. Similarily, when you demolish an existing door.... So play around with inserting/demolishing doors (or other elements for that matter) within different views of certain phases...HTH
