I have an issue, and would like to see if anyone can help me out. I have a project with a RCP, at first when I was creating my different views to break down the building in to sections, I used the "duplicate" function to copy them. When I was working in these views I would drag over a light fixture and drop it into the view with out any problems, so I was rolling along everything was working. Then one of my coworkers stated that I should be using the "duplicate as a dependent" when I copy my views, so that I could work in only one view and it will change the "sheet" views so to speak. Is everyone with me so far... So I correct my views as my coworker instructed and now when I insert my light fixtures I get a warning saying... "None of the created elements are visible in Reflected Ceiling Plan: RCP First Floor View. You may want to check the active view, its Parameters, and Visibility settings, as well as any Plan Regions and their settings." Now when I drag out my light fixture I get dimension lins and a blank area as if the fixture is invisable and when I click it in place the software places it in a totally different view, it tossed it out of the Electrical Group tree that I am working in and placed it in the Architectural floor plan 01 First Floor view. What type of setting needs adjusted to fix this? I have no clue right now. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance. Matt

Well first off I would check the standard things, making sure the item you are placing is turned on in visibility graphics, the work set you are working in is turned on in that view, the phase you are working in is active in that view you are working on. If all thoes check then what I would think the issue is, is what you have your plane set to, along with your view range and crop regions. You also may take a look at the family, if it is ceiling hosted it may still have an offset off the ceiling which could offset the item and make it not visible. Thoes are a few of the things that I would check for to make sure are set to what they should be. Hope this helped. Grant Doherty

Thanks a bunch, I got it to work. Still being new to the software, little things like making being on the incorrect workset can totally mess you up. Thanks again
