Hi all,

I'm tired of creating new materials in my families and then having to create them with the same name in my projects.

There must be an easier way!

I end up with too many of the same type with different names.

 Thanks,

Tania

When you load a family into a project the materials in that family automatically get created in the project.  The only time they don't is if the famliy has already been loaded into the project.

I tend not to apply materials for families in the family.  I load them into a project that has all the materials i want.  Then edit the family type and select the materials i want for each part of the family.  Then I edit family from within the project.  The materials assigned to that family are they embedded into the family.  You can then overwrite the family in your library.

 HTH.

Cool. But also........

Why don't the Accurender materials show up in the new families editor? Is there a setting that I haven't yet found?

Cheers,

Tania
