I have created a rotated callout head family and loaded it. But I can't select the new callout head in the Floor Plan callout properties. I it possible to rotate callout heads so they show in the proper orientation on rotated floor plans? Thank you.

Providing you have loaded your callout tag and you have created new types in the Settings-->View Tags section for callouts using your new loaded callout tag. (Do this by duplicating the existing one and then swapping the tag its using in the drop down.) Just select the callout, goto properties. Edit/New and swap the callout tag in the drop down menu for the tag you have just setup to use. HTH. Thanks Mr. Spot.

This old thread seems to indicate that a new family that is created with lables rotated, can be used to read correctly in a rotated sheet view placed on a sheet.
This should work but when I tried to do it the new Callout head doesnt rotate as expected.
What I'm trying to achieve is see callouts that read horziontally (as they do in a non-rotated view) when they are in a rotated view. Am I missing something?

There are two ways to rotate a view.
- Rotate view on a sheet. - All elements, including view label are rotated without any changes.
- Rotate the view from within the view by picking then rotating the view window. All dimensions, callout symbols etc remain 'normal' to the screen while all model elements rotate. (This affects this view only.....)

I tried both methods and the result was the same, i.e. the callout text rotates as well. Is it possible that my callout is set-up incorrectly?
I tried with a project in R2020 using "out of the box" Architectural Templet and it works exactly as you stated.
I looked at the families and see diferent parameters for the lables in the callout head lables.
It appears that my legacy elevation tags need to be remade. Perhaps the continually upgraded templet containing tags from as far back as R2016 do not have the ability to rotate.
Does this make sence to you or did the callout always behave as you described and something eles is happening?
