Do you want it transparent or to disappear? I don't think there is a way to change the opacity so that it is like a ghost type. You can turn it off by using the View Graphics dialogue under Stairs. If you need to make it so you can see the stair treads, you can always just drag the 'Up' and 'Down' text out of the way.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! |

I want the text to go transparent as you can set your normal text to transparent or opaque! But it doesnt seem like its possible to add the parameter to the stairs properties as it is with the text! The thing that bothers me is the fact that when you use a smaller scale the text size becomes bigger, and i was wondering if I could make it transparent so I could still see the treads! Will switch it off and put in normal text where I need it. THANKS
