I just noticed that I can copy/paste text from the East Elevation to the West Elevation views - it automatically switches orientation to match the other side of the building and everything, WOW. But when I tried to copy the text from the East Elevation to the North Elevation - I get an error about the selection being invisible in that view. Any ideas? Do I have to re-type all of my notes?

I'm not positive, but it sounds like you are using model text instead of regular text. If you are under the modeling tab and select the text there, it will have view problems perpendicular to your view if you copy and paste.
