Is there a way to have multiple muntin designs for a window (for example Colonial and prairie) and use the parameters to change styles (a drop down menu and an if/then..) situation? Don't want to stir the pot, but I think its possible in Archicad.

I know there's a way to array a different number of muntins for a window based on the size of the window...but I don't think you can create different muntin designs in the same family. My question for you is, what is the advantage of this over just creating two families? Perhaps this will change in 6.0 (which incidentally was released today at 4:30 CST!) but I don't think it's possible in 5.1.
