Hi, I have a building elevation which is flat on one part but at a slight angle upon the other. I have windows with horizontal bars on both parts of the elevation, however when i view the true elevation the part of the building on angle doesn't show the horizontal bars of the windows. I have checked the visibility settings of the window family which has all views checked for the horizontal bars. Anyone got any ideas?

The reason this is happening is that your glazing bars are within the glass and therefore revit doesnt show it becuase it lies within a solid (it only shows the object closest). In elevation view you have detail lines showing the glazing bars and they only display when perpedicular to a view. (Because they are symbolic lines and not model lines - model lines display in all views because its seen as a model element). Ive attached a revised version of your window. Ive created model lines that only displays in elevations and is is located to the glazing planes - note - this had to be done inside and out. The only problem with this is that these lines will display in 3d aswell - if your scale is so high that you notice them, id suggest creating a seperate object style for the glazing bar lines and then switching them off in your 3d views in the project. Dunno if anyone else has a better solution though. DAR

Spoke to soon, do you know how to ensure the horizontal bars adjust when I adjust the window width? thanks Marc

Oops - forgot to do that for ya. - Edit the family - Go into your elvation views (front and back) - Isolate the model lines in question as well as the mullions - Stretch the lines away from the ends of the mullion - Use the Allign tool and select the end of the mullion and then the very end of the model line - Click the Lock symbol that appears - Repeat and Simmer for 10 minutes - This is all assuming that your mullions changes with the width of the window.
