I'm not sure this is the right place to post.

I've had several errors caused by opengl. Opengl is off(in options menu) but i think the error is caused by the poor opengl support by ati in vista. I know i should not use revit in vista, at least there is no support from autodesk for it.

Because there is no solution at the moment for this problem, at least i didn't find it, i thought i should post some tricks to prevent this failure. I hope others can chime in...

1) turn off opengl hardware accelaration

 2) Turn off shadows

3) don't zoom when something is selected

4) ....

Note: These don't guarantee anything, i just feel like this helps a little in my situation.

I've used both RAC08 and RB9.1 on vista without issues (9.1 had an occassional crash but Autodesk doesn't support RB9.1 on vista).  Video Card is Nvidia 7900GTO 512MB.

Might also be an idea to check if you have the latest video drivers and to check that they are the correct supported drivers for vista.

HTH.

I had the same errors, I could barely even open Revit before it would crash due to OpenGL errors, but as soon as I installed Revit Architecture 2008 no more problems. I have an NVIDIA FX15000 card.

That's usually the problem with Revit pre 2008 is the opengl. I've heard if you just turn it off, everything works fine from that point.
