Hi I'm still trying to get my head around visibility settings in Revit. I posted thisin building but thought I might get a more detailed answer as it concerns things "be;ow ground" :-) Please see attached file. I created the 4 pilecap foundation family & I am confused as to why certain elements down show up in certain views: 1. In an elevation with shading on, the pilecap doesn't display. It does in all other settings. Why is that? 2. In Level 1 the pilecap is still visible even though it's well below it. I've tried turning off the pilecap in the visibility dialog & amending the view range, but to no avail. How do I get it to only display the piles as cut? 3. When in elevation I'd like show the pile penetrating into the pilecap. I tried using Hidden cut symbolic line in the front elevation, but these appear in the 3d view. What am I doing wrong? 4. In a plan the piles were set to Hidden Projection. The appears almost continuous at a scale of 1:00, but looks OK at 1:20. Is there a way to get it to look dashed at both scales? I don't understand why it's doesn't scale the linetype like it does for hatching & annotations. There's a lot there, I hope you can help with some. Thanks Dave F.
