I am currently working on a building that is going to have almost all the walls inside demo'd.  I labeled the rooms in an existing phase, but I would also like them to show up in the demo phase.  Is this possible?  I would like the rooms to be visible so the contractor knows what rooms to demo in, but since the walls are demo'd, there is no more room bounding.  Anyone have any ideas on how to get around this?  One thing I thought of was to draw room separation lines around the perimeter of every room, but that would take a long time.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks.

Hi - I am having the same issue.  I can't get room tags to show up in my demo plan either.  It's really frustrating.

Would it be just as easy to added text where you need the tags.

I have a CAD file that I linked in that has the demo tags, so I have been working using visibilty graphics so that the tags are the only items that appear... I was just hoping there was some feature for phasing room tags...

I'm pretty sure that room tags are phase & view specific. I do a lot of renovations and usually don't bother with room tags. In regards to your other question regarding cut plans, have you tried using plan regions to control cut plans. Very useful when doing split levels.

The room separation tool is easier than you think for this application. Use the "Pick Lines" Feature and tab while hovering over your demo walls and you can grab a bunch at a time.
