Is there any way to create a Rolling Eyesft Family Template File where you can predefine parameters inside of the template?  It doesn't appear to be possible to transfer parameters between Families either.  If you have to add more than a few shared parameters to families, it starts to become time consuming.  Does anyone have any ideas?

Yes there is. Simply add whatever parameters you want save it as a normal rfa family and then rename the family to rft family.

Hey thanks!  That seems so obvious, have you ever had problems doing it like this?  Also as a addition to my original question, can someone explain why the "type mark" parameter does not show up until the family is loaded in the project?  Is there a reason Revit did that?   The "type mark" is a type parameter not an instance, so it doesnt make sense to me why it is not under the parameters inside the family file.

Haven't had any problems with doing this. As for your second question I haven't a clue. Smile
